The Worland Indian Brave

Worland Indian Brave sculptureOn the “Trail of the Whispering Giants” The 36th carving by Peter Toth, the” Worland Indian Brave” was carved to honor America’s first citizens, the Arapaho, the Sioux and the Shoshone, the Tribes that have and continue to live in Wyoming. All 50 states and 23 others around the world have had the honor of Toth’s work. Located on the corner of the Washakie County Court House lawn this monument watches over travelers going and coming from Yellowstone and beyond. N44*01.10 W107*57.20



Ten Sleep Museum

Pioneers worked hard to make it in this area, cattle was king and folks had to be ready for hard work and hard times. The Ten Sleep Museum gives you a look back into those times and the events around them. This was the end of the cattle/sheep wars, so bloody the public demanded their end, find out how the Spring Creek Raid brought the end by being the first time the raiders had been prosecuted. Pioneer Park

Pioneer Park statueIn 1906 Worland moved across the Bighorn River to its present site, Pioneer Park celebrates the efforts of those who built our community from its humble beginnings. “The Canal Digger” reminds us of the agriculture that founded our community, the bell towers ring across the community calling all travelers to slow down and enjoy. Leigh Creek Monument

Leigh Creek Monument is topped with a cross and was erected in 1889 in memory of an English nobleman who fell 200 feet off the Ten Sleep Canyon Wall, while in pursuit of a Big Horn Sheep. N44*05.07 W107*18.11
